Upload and manage your company's job title mappings
By uploading my existing Job Architecture mappings I authorize JobIQ to anonymously include my company's uploaded job title mapping data in a shared reference pool used to improve AI classification accuracy for all users. My company name will not be disclosed nor any personally identifiable information will be released — only the job title, standardized codes, and classification data are shared.
User agrees not to upload, transmit, or otherwise provide any personal identifiable information (PII) relating to any employee, agent, contractor, or representative. The Service does not accept, process, store, or disclose PII, and any such submission is strictly prohibited.
Upload an Excel of your internal job titles. Required column: job_title. Optional: recommended_title, soc_code, workers_comp_code, eeoc_code, job_family, workday_job_profile, noc_code, plus any state WC codes (e.g. wc_new_york_code, wc_texas_code). Mappings are automatically shared with everyone at your company.

The story behind JobIQ and why we built it
Job titles are a mess.
We're fixing that.
Most companies are running on inconsistent job data — titles that don't match the work, job profiles that don't scale, and hours of manual mapping every time something changes. It slows everything down: hiring, comp, reporting, and system implementations.
We built this because we've lived it.
Our tool takes the chaos out of job architecture. Drop in a title (or a whole file), and we return clean, standardized recommendations — aligned to real market data, SOC codes, and systems like Workday.
Just faster decisions, cleaner data, and a foundation you can actually scale.
We're here for HR and HRIS teams who are tired of duct-taping this problem together — and ready to fix it for good.
How JobIQ aligns with employment law, data privacy, and security frameworks
JobIQ is a classification assistance tool — not a legal advisor. The codes, classifications, and recommendations provided are intended as guidance only and do not constitute legal, HR, or compliance advice. Always consult a qualified employment attorney or HR professional before making decisions that carry legal or regulatory implications. Standards and thresholds referenced on this page are subject to change; JobIQ makes no warranty as to their continued accuracy.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission classification alignment
JobIQ returns the EEO-1 job category code for every title classified, aligning with the EEOC's standard occupational groupings used in annual EEO-1 Component 1 reporting — covering 10 categories from Executives/Senior Officials to Service Workers. Using consistent, standardized EEO-1 codes helps ensure your workforce data is reportable, auditable, and defensible in the event of an EEOC inquiry.
JobIQ does not make employment decisions — it assists in the classification of job titles for reporting and architecture purposes only.
Exempt / Non-Exempt / Highly Compensated classification
JobIQ provides FLSA exemption status recommendations based on the role's typical duties and the DOL's 2024 salary thresholds: $684/week ($35,568/year) for the standard exemption test and $107,432/year for the Highly Compensated Employee (HCE) exemption. Exemption status is evaluated against the five FLSA white-collar tests: Executive, Administrative, Professional, Computer, and Outside Sales.
The determination returned is a starting point — actual exempt status depends on each employee's specific duties and salary, which only your organization can verify.
NCCI national codes + 8 independent state systems + Canadian provincial boards
JobIQ returns workers' compensation classification codes for all 50 US states and two Canadian provinces. The majority of US states use NCCI codes. Eight states operate independent systems:
WC codes are recommendations based on job title and industry context. Final classification must be verified with your insurance carrier or state WC board — rates and codes can vary by employer, industry sub-classification, and claims history.
Accessibility and non-discriminatory classification practices
JobIQ's classification recommendations are title-based and function-neutral. The tool does not factor physical requirements, accommodations, or disability-related criteria into any output — consistent with ADA Title I guidance on non-discriminatory job descriptions. The JobIQ platform is built to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility principles including semantic HTML, keyboard navigability, and sufficient color contrast throughout the interface.
EU/UK data privacy compliance
JobIQ processes job titles and classification codes — not personal employee data. No names, employee IDs, salaries, or personally identifiable information are required or stored by the classifier.
California Consumer Privacy Act & California Privacy Rights Act
JobIQ collects limited account data (name, email, company) necessary to operate the platform. This data is not sold, shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, or used for profiling. California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information under CCPA/CPRA. Classification inputs (job titles) are treated as business-purpose data and are not considered personal information under CCPA. Mapping data uploaded by customers is treated as confidential business data owned by that customer.
Security framework alignment and roadmap
JobIQ is currently in pre-SOC 2 certification status, designed with SOC 2 Type II Trust Service Criteria in mind:
SOC 2 Type II audit is planned as part of the Enterprise tier launch. Enterprise customers can request our current security questionnaire by contacting us below.
Key state-level considerations for job classification
Several states have employment laws that go beyond federal standards and directly affect how job titles should be classified and documented:
Reach out with questions about how JobIQ handles specific compliance requirements, data privacy requests, or security documentation for your procurement team.
We typically respond within 2 business days. For urgent GDPR/CCPA data privacy requests, please note that in your message.
